More than 370 householders were visited by Havering Volunteer Police Cadets in a day of action with Romford Town’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team on Saturday, March 23.
The youngsters knocked on doors in Lodge Avenue, Stanley Avenue and Stanley Close to encourage residents to join the Neighbourhood Watch Association.
PCSO Sue Sullivan said: “I would like to thank all of the cadets for their assistance.
“They were all extremely enthusiastic and performed their tasks to the very highest standard.”
Cadet leader Pc Matt Ingram added: “The cadets and I really enjoyed this event.
“It was lovely to be able to meet some of the residents of Lodge and Stanley avenues and offer them crime prevention advice on a personal level.”
