Strike action is likely on bus services across London tomorrow (Friday) from 3am.

Talks between Unite and bus operators today broke down. If the action goes ahead as planned, most if not all routes in Havering will be disrupted. Transport for London (TfL) staff will be on site at bus stations to give transport advice and hand out walking maps.

Unite is calling for 500 bonuses for its members who work during the Olympic Games. The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has put 8.3m on the table if the strike is called off, which would work out as about 300 per driver.

TfL will operate a full London Underground service throughout the day and bus passes will be accepted on reasonable alternative tube routes to replace bus journeys across London.
