Trains stopped going through Romford station after police reported a suspicious vehicle in proximity of The Brewery.

Police were called at 12.58pm over a suspicious vehicle in proximity of The Brewery shopping centre, which was evacuated.

The rail traffic is back to normal but with severe delays after trains were stopped from going through Romford station.

Police advised to avoid Romford town centre but the incident was declared over at 2.50pm.

Officers were at the scene to control the situation.
