Brentwood’s senior citizens invited to borough educational event

PUBLISHED: 18:54 18 February 2014 | UPDATED: 18:54 18 February 2014

Essex Police will present information about a range of issues to ensure residents can stay safe in the borough.

After a free lunch at the Sawyers Hall Church, Sawyers Hall Lane, CM15 9BN, residents can sing-a-long to educational play “Trickster” by the Solomon Theatre Company.

The production highlights the dangers of distraction burglary.

Cllr Chris Hossack, chair of the Safer Brentwood partnership, said: “Events like these are a brilliant way of giving people practical advice on how they can stay safe.

“It’s getting the message out about the event that can be difficult, so if you have elderly parents in the borough, it would be great if you could let them know our Senior Safety Day is happening.”

Free transport is available for those wishing to attend the five-hour event, which begins at 10am.

Spaces are limited, so anyone interested in attending will need to book their place before March 7 by calling Brentwood Borough Council on 01277 312644 or emailing events@brentwood.gov.uk.
