Thirty retailers from Brentwood are attending a course to encourage them to make the most out of digital media.

The local retailers owners went to the BT Centre to the course starting today (Monday) top get advice from businesses Divadani, Local by Social and 2010media about marketing and advertising. They also learnt tips about using social media to help their businesses.

The course has been organised by Brentwood Council and Brentwood Renaissance.

Cllr Mark Reed, chairman of Brentwood Council’s town centre management, community and localism panel, said: “It’s great that this course is fully booked. This shows the benefit of this facility to local businesses and that we are offering the help, along with Brentwood Renaissance, that local businesses want.”

David Miles, director of Divadani, said: “As Brentwood residents; David, Laurie and I are delighted that so many of our fellow local business owners are seizing this opportunity to learn how to market themselves cost effectively in the social media age.”
