A man who was arrested after an attempted robbery at a Brentwood shop has been released without charge.
The attack happened at the Nisa store in Blackmore Road, Kelvedon Hatch, on Sunday, July 29.
A man ordered a worker to open the till, but the manager rushed out from the storeroom and started throwing boxes of canned beer at the man who then ran away.
A man, 20, from the Brentwood area was arrested on August 6, and later released on police bail pending further enquiries. Essex Police said he has now been released from this bail without charge.
