Hopefield Animal Sanctuary
This week, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary wishes to tell us more about they’re upgraded tearoom, a new addition to the team and a hint at the exciting Halloween and Christmas events to come.
It's been a busy time at the sanctuary with the six weeks holidays, which despite the weather, was very busy.
Our brand new animal-friendly tearoom has gone down a treat, with some lovely new additions to the menu, like the all-day breakfast and breakfast muffin, a favourite with staff.
Sadly we have also had some losses, with our dear Hope and Poppy who will be sorely missed.
We've had an influx of new animals arriving at the sanctuary including two new raccoons and Romeo and Juliet (brother and sister duo). We will put their story up on our socials and website shortly.
We also have to announce that due to our opening hours and the increase in exotic animals finding their way into sanctuaries like ours, we are now required, by law, to apply for a zoo licence.
Whilst this will be expensive and a lot of hard work, it will not change at all how Hopefield currently operates, and we will continue to be a sanctuary.
This license is merely a paperwork formality.
Many other great sanctuaries like Wild Futures have this.

We are also very excited to announce we have a new education officer, James, who has joined our team.
James will be bringing schools to the sanctuary and visiting schools to spread the word on animal welfare and how the sanctuary protects animals.
If anyone would like more details on school visits, please contact James directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have some exciting events planned heading towards Christmas so please keep an eye on our Facebook page.
This will include our popular Halloween Week, and the traditional carol service.
We have also planned our first ever vegan fair for next year which is generating a lot of interest.
Our official newsletter will be going out at the beginning of November, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
Thank you all for your continued support - Hopefield could not exist without you.
