Brentwood FA Cup visit joy

LUCKY youngsters got the chance to have their photo taken next to the FA Cup thanks to one parent’s nimble gaming skills.
The historic piece of silverware, which his valued at £1.5 million, went on display under strict security at lunchtime in Brentwood School’s Courage Hall.
Robert Gibson, who has two children at the school, Vanessa, 14 and Philippa, 12, won the cup day from tournament sponsor E.ON after playing the firm’s Energy Fit football game on the internet.
The 45-year-old West Ham United supporter, said: “It was a brilliant day. I can’t believe I won. I have never seen so many excited faces when we went into the schools. The kids and even the dad’s couldn’t quite believe it. It was amazing.”
The IT manager and the FA Cup went onto the BBC Essex Breakfast Show before visiting Brentwood School and his wife’s school, St Peters Primary School, before being taken back to his home to share with friends and family.
