Our Dog of the Week from Wallace Kennels is five-years-old Chester.
Dee from the kennels in Chivers Road, Brentwood said: "Chester is a beagle. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
"He is an absolute cracking lad with a superb temperament and fine singing voice (not quite in tune to the radio but not bad).
"Chester needs to be homed with another dog - preferably a beagle or similar or his owners must be home all day as he just wants company and it is what he has been used to. "He has lived with a child but we do not want to rehome him with any children under 16 due to a bad experience with the last one.
"No cats. He has been fully vet checked today and has a complete clean bill of health."
