Children from a Brentwood school appeared on ITV’s Daybreak show this week to sing some Christmas carols.

The pupils from Ursuline Preparatory School were paid a visit by the crew on Wednesday to film them singing Silent Night in the school grounds.

And it was made more festive as the children were surrounded by the unexpected overnight snowfall. They sang in front of a Christmas tree in their field.

Jan West, from the school, said: “In spite of the freezing conditions the children sang beautifully and all agreed that it was a very unique experience.”

Teacher Isabelle Parker-Litgens, who had spent many hours preparing the choir for the two part version of the well known carol, said that it was a great honour for the school choir to be chosen, as many hundreds of schools auditioned for this opportunity.
