Generous children from a Brentwood school have donated goodies for a Christmas shoebox appeal.
The children from Ursuline Prepatory School, in Warley, spent their half term holiday putting together small gifts to fill the 140 shoeboxes for underprivileged children at Christmas.
Operation Christmas Child will deliver them to children living in poverty who would not otherwise receive any gifts at Christmas.
Kate Welcome, deputy headteacher at the school, who organised the project, said: “I was delighted with the effort that the children had made – the youngest being three-years-old; 102 families contributed to the boxes, which is a great effort all around.”
