Brentwood: Blaze in sheltered accommodation

Firefighters tackled a blaze in sheltered accommodation for almost an hour.

It started in a flat in Stock Lane, Ingatestone, at about 7.30am on Sunday.

The incident commander for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said the flat was 30 per cent alight on arrival and 100 pc smoke logged.

There were no injuries and the flat was vacant.
