Hornchurch will be hoping to take another step towards Conference South safety when they head south to Eastleigh tomorrow (Saturday).

A last-minute goal from Kieron St Aimie sealed a 1-0 win over Bromley on Monday, following a Good Friday defeat at Boreham Wood.

Urchins go into the weekend two points clear of the relegation zone and although manager Jimmy McFarlane expects a difficult test, he is backing his men to perform.

He said: “It will be a tough game. They’re big spenders, a good footballing side but since Christmas we’ve played all the top sides and apart from Welling, who I think have been the best side, we’ve been more than a match for everyone.

“Salisbury we should have won, all the big sides we’ve done well against so we won’t fear going there.”
