Firefighters in Harold Hill were called out to four bonfires last night – including one that needed putting out twice.
The blaze had been lit by children on the green behind Chudleigh Road. The fire crew got to the scene at about 8.30pm and doused it after it got out of control.
But they were back an hour later after the fire was lit again, and spent a further 20 minutes extinguishing it.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
