ROMFORD’S own beauty queen’s quest to achieve the country’s pageant crown has come to an end.
Athelete and student, Angela James, reached the top 20 of the Miss England 2010 contest but was beaten to the title by law student Jessica Linley, 21, from Nottingham who will now go on to compete in Miss World.
But Angela, 18, of Wincanton Road, Noak Hill, was far from downhearted and thrilled to have had the experience.
The 5ft 9ins brunette was one of 60 to compete in the final in Birmingham earlier this month and one of thousands to enter the competition overall.
As a result of the competition she has been offered a number of modelling assignments and is looking forward to continuing her reign as Miss Romford until next June.
