Havering Museum welcomed a very special guest at the weekend, as the creator of a hit detective programme paid a visit to the borough.
Glenn Chandler, TV producer, script writer and author of Taggart, made his way to the museum in High Street, Romford, on Saturday, to give a talk on his television career and what happened behind the scenes of the famous TV series.
The event helped to raise funds for the museum.
Museum director Ellen Owen said: “It was a great privilege to welcome Glenn to the museum and to listen to the fascinating story of his rise to fame.
“He also showed us how some of the stunts were shot.
“This was a wonderful afternoon which was rounded off with a clotted cream tea and a photo call with book signing.
“Everyone was thrilled that they had a personal picture with Glenn.”
