RESIDENTS can get into the festive spirit when panto characters launch the Christmas grotto at a shopping centre next week.
Characters from the Queen’s Theatre panto Aladdin will be officially opening the grotto at The Mall shopping centre in Romford on Monday November 15 from 2pm to 4pm.
The event will also include Christmas carols and favourite melodies from the Queen’s Theatre performers, the Sanders Draper Signing Choir, wind and brass band Tradz and Hornchurch based choir Dawn Chorus.
The stars from Aladdin are also set to entertain crowds at the Christmas Lights switch on in Romford Market Place on Tuesday November 16.
