Havering Council is to receive £456,000 in grants to build affordable homes for older and disabled residents.
Sixteen houses will be developed using the money awarded by the Mayor of London’s Care and Supported Housing Fund.
The Ullswater Way scheme, which will build seven homes, was granted £199,500.
Garrick House, which will develop nine houses, was awarded £256,500.
Under the scheme, 669 homes will be created on 35 supported housing developments across the capital.
It is estimated the fund will assist 1,500 residents.
