A taxi app for train passengers to be trialled at Ingatestone station

A mobile app and website has been created so train passengers can book taxis and is being tested at Ingatestone station.
The “Cab & Go” service will be available as a smartphone app where passengers can book a taxi driver to and from the station on the go without the need for a local taxi firms’ contact details.
Greater Anglia’s commercal director, Andrew Camp, said, “The new service is a further step in making rail travel even more convenient for our customers. It will be a useful tool that will provide extra confidence for those travelling on
business or visiting unfamiliar areas. Passengers can quickly and easily use the app from wherever they are to organise a cab to take them to or from the station with no hassle.”
