Four fire engines attended a house fire in Hornchurch yesterday.

The firefighters were called at an address in Ambleside Avenue at 5.22pm on Sunday and crews from Hornchurch, Harold Hill, Barking and Dagenham and Tottenham attended the house fire.

The fire affected a two-storey residential building and completely destroyed the roof space.

Three people left the building unhurt and there are no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
