A Hornchurch school has raised more than 500 for First Step at its Christmas events.
Parents and carers donated money during RJ Mitchell’s carol concert and infant and junior Christmas productions. The school raised 566 towards First Step’s services to help support children with special needs and/or disabilities, and their families.
Barry Road, headteacher at RJ Mitchell School, said: “It’s an amazing effort from a small school. Each year the children of the school decide which charity to support and I am delighted that we continue to support such a worthy cause. I look forward to raising even more money for First Step in 2013.”
