A 62-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were both taken to hospital after the incident.

A 62-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the arm in Gidea Park.

Police were called on Sunday (July 1) at around 10.30pm to a report of a man suffering from a stab injury in Slewins Lane.

Officers attended and found a 62-year-old man suffering from an injury to his arm and a 29-year-old woman suffering from assault injuries.

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called and they were both taken to hospital but their injuries were not deemed as life threatening or life changing. A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray and is currently in custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
