A new toy shop in Romford is holding an official opening event tomorrow after being "overwhelmed by the positive response" of shoppers in its first two weeks of business.
Toytown, one of the latest additions to The Mercury Mall, will officially launch tomorrow (October 17).
Located on level two at the top of the escalators, the store offers a selection of toys, including Lego, Sylvanian Families, and "pocket-money favourites".
A spokesperson from Toytown said: "Since our soft opening at Mercury Mall a few weeks ago, we've been overwhelmed by the positive response from the Romford community.
"It's been fantastic to see so many customers discovering Toytown and enjoying what we have to offer.
"We're passionate about delivering great value and bringing excitement to every visit, and we're thrilled to have made such a strong start.
"We look forward to welcoming even more families and shoppers in the months ahead."
The spokesperson extended their thanks to the team at The Mercury and said it was proud to be part of such a "vibrant shopping destination", hoping to remain for "years to come".
Toytown was founded in Belfast in 1980 and to celebrate the official opening of the Romford store tomorrow, a character meet-and-greet will take place from 1pm to 2.30pm, with the first 80 visitors in line receiving a free gift.
Giveaways will include Paw Patrol stickers and Peppa Pig art sets.
Manager of The Mercury, Natalie Bays, said: "We are delighted to welcome Toytown to our Mercury retailer family.
"The store had a soft launch in September and is already drawing in a crowd with their huge choice of Lego products, Sylvanian Families, discount brands, and pocket money toys like squishes.
"We are excited to see the shelves soon stocked with this year’s top Christmas toys!"
