A Grade II listed pub which appeared in a film starring Danny Dyer is being advertised for a new tenant.
The Admiral Vernon, in Broad Street in Dagenham, is being marketed under a fixed-term tenancy agreement and is currently listed as "under offer".
The pub's current publican has run the business for more than 30 years and built up a "loyal customer base", chain Stonegate says.
It is seeking an operator who can build on that legacy while developing the venue's live music offering and wet-led trade.
The Admiral Vernon is a Grade II-listed pub dating from the 1930s and one of London's surviving examples of a Brewers' Tudor inter-war pub.
The venue has remained "largely untouched" since it was built, retaining its original layout with separate public and saloon bars, vine-pattern cornices and extensive wood panelling.
The pub hosts The Vernon Jam every Wednesday and regular live music at weekends.
The pub recently featured as a filming location in the movie Marching Powder, starring Danny Dyer.
Facilities listed include a beer garden, pool tables, sports TV and an on-site car park.
The business operates as a 100 per cent wet-led pub focused largely on draught beer sales, although the listing suggests there is potential to introduce a food offer in future.
Stonegate forecasts an annual turnover of £562,031, comprising £559,766 in wet sales and £2,265 in dry sales. The guide rent is listed at £625 per week, equivalent to £32,500 a year.
The first-floor accommodation includes 11 bedrooms, three kitchens, three bathrooms, two separate toilets and a private lounge.
The listing says there is potential, subject to investment, to reconfigure the space for short-term letting or to create a trade kitchen.
Named after Admiral Edward Vernon (1684–1757) the naval hero known as “Old Grog” who introduced diluted rum to the British Navy, the Admiral Vernon is described as "a pub steeped in history, music, and unmistakable local character".
