A restaurant in Elm Park has applied to play music and sell late night refreshments shortly after celebrating two years of business.

Station Parade Lounge Ltd has submitted a formal premises licence application for Station Parade Lounge.

The restaurant and lounge is seeking permission for the supply of alcohol, recorded music and "late night refreshment".

Representations from any person or responsible authority must be made in writing to the licensing authority by October 29.

On September 16, restaurant owner Petrit Malaj and head chef Lee Harrison celebrated two years since Station Parade Lounge's opening alongside the rest of the team.

Petrit previously told the Recorder: “We’re not family-run but we call ourselves a family here and food wise, Lee is the one taking this place forward – everyone likes his food – and that’s why people love coming here.

“We’re doing some themed nights and quiz nights to bring people together here and we love to watch them have fun."

Lee highlighted that the personable customer service and quality of food here is what allowed the business to operate successfully for two years.

"We try to listen to our customers to keep them coming back and what makes us really different is that we cook everything fresh and everything is locally sourced," he said.

“The place could be packed and we know everyone’s name – it’s a really nice feel."

Station Parade Lounge declined to comment on the premises licence application.
