Top rated primary schools in Havering ranked by FindMySchool

FindMySchool compares the performance and official inspections of schools across the nation, allowing parents to make informed decisions for their children.

Its website says:" Ofsted on one. DfE performance tables on another. GIAS (Get Information about Schools) for the basics.

"Your council's admissions page in a fourth. And you're still not sure you have the full picture.

"Close the tabs. We pulled all four sources into one search - 25,150 schools with rankings, inspection scores, Oxbridge outcomes, A-level results, admissions data, and demographics."

FindMySchool issues an FMS score for each school although this isn't the primary figure used to determine a school's ranking position.

This is not an official Ofsted or Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) rating but brings together Ofsted grades for overall effectiveness, quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

It also uses ISI judgments on academic quality and personal development, alongside equivalent categories where available.

FindMySchool said: “The FMS Inspection Score bridges this gap by converting both systems into a single standardised metric, allowing parents to compare any school in England on a like-for-like basis.

"We publish an academic rank and, where inspection data is available, an overall rank that combines academic performance with the FindMySchool inspection score."

Scotts Primary School in Bonington Road, Hornchurch is ranked as the best primary school in the borough and has an FMS score of 10 out of 10.

Nelmes Primary School was ranked as the second best with the school in Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch also registering an FMS score of 10 out of 10.

Also with a perfect FMS score was Concordia Academy in Union Road, Romford which was ranked third in Havering.
