A "caring and supportive" primary school in Dagenham has been praised by Ofsted for its "strong standards".
Henry Green Primary School, in Green Lane, has received its latest report from Ofsted following an inspection in April.
The education watchdog identified a "strong standard" across four areas - achievement, early years, inclusion, and personal development and wellbeing - and deemed the school to be meeting an "expected standard" in three remaining inspection areas.
Under the new Ofsted framework introduced in November 2025, a "strong standard" means leaders are working above the standard expected of them.
Inspectors found that the school's "Henry Green family" ethos leads to pupils having "warm relationships" with staff and treating others "politely and with respect".
In the report, Ofsted said: "Pupils are supported to succeed at this caring and inclusive school.
"Pupils know that they can speak to staff if they have any concerns.
"Pupils said that staff keep them safe and will help to fix any issues they may have.
"Leaders provide highly effective support to reduce any barriers that pupils may face.
"This includes adaptations to help pupils to access learning successfully."
This support means that pupils achieve outcomes above the national average at the end of Year 6, despite "often having low starting points", inspectors added.
Recent changes to the wider curriculum by leaders and a focus on building early reading skills has resulted in pupils making "highly positive progress across subjects and consistently produce work of high quality".
Personal development is another area highlighted by Ofsted as being of a "strong standard", with the school providing a "carefully designed, nurturing space" for pupils to access if they are struggling with their emotions.
Trips such as to museums, places of worships, and banks to learn about different careers also "enriches" the curriculum, the report said.
Harriet Daley, headteacher at Henry Green Primary School, told this paper the school community is a "family", with an emphasis on "care, commitment and high expectations".
Ms Daley said: "I am incredibly proud of our Ofsted report and of everything it recognises about Henry Green, but most of all I am proud of our whole Henry Green family.
"Our children are amazing and are at the heart of everything we do.
"We are very lucky to have such a dedicated and hardworking staff team who care deeply about our children, and families who support us and work alongside us every day."
