Three private schools in east London and Essex have been named among the top performers for A-level results in an annual league table.
The rankings, compiled by education research group Britannia UK, are based on the percentage of A and A* grades achieved by pupils in this year's A-level exams.
Featured among the 168 independent and boarding schools listed from across the country are schools in Epping Forest, Redbridge and Brentwood.
Bancroft's School, a mixed school in Woodfood Green, placed 30th, making it the highest ranking school from east London and Essex on the list.
Almost three-quarters (73 per cent) of pupils at the school were awarded A and A* grades, up from 70.9pc last year.
Chigwell School was ranked 79th best, with 53pc of students achieving the top grades - a jump of almost eight per cent from its results in 2025.
Brentwood School, a selective day and boarding school, just missed out on a place in the top 100, ranking 106 on the league table.
A total of 47.6 pc of students at the mixed school secured A and A* grades this year.
Britannia UK used a range of sources to collate the latest A-level data, including the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), Department for Education (DfE), Independent Schools Council (ISC) and schools' and exam boards' websites.
