Police rushed to a hotel in Rainham after alleged reports of guns and knives suspected to be on the premises.
Emergency services were called to Berwick Manor Hotel on Berwick Pond Road last night (August 22) following reports of the weapons.
The Romford Recorder has reviewed evidence that staff suspected there was a possibility of knives and guns on the premises.
It is understood that police were called to the scene in response, but no weapons were found and an official crime report was not made with officers present.
The Recorder also understands that no arrests were made.
The claim of weapons on the premises was made during an event held at the hotel called The Garden.
It was described as an “outdoor summer party event” involving house, afro-house, amapiano, R&B and hip-hop music.
Doors opened at 2pm; entry was restricted at 6pm, with a curfew set to 10pm.
Berwick Manor Hotel has been approached for comment.
