A 15-year-old boy stole a BMW before crashing it in Collier Row.

The teen, who cannot be identified due to his age, took a black BMW X1 without the owner’s consent on August 2.

Before the vehicle was recovered, an accident occurred on Lowshoe Lane which caused damage to another vehicle.

The boy appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday (August 17).

He pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking as well as driving without insurance or driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month driving disqualification.

They also made a six-month referral order with Havering Youth Offending Team.
