Roadworks in a major Romford road are set to last for weeks with "delays likely".

Works began in Pettits Lane on Tuesday (August 11), according to traffic website Causeway one.network, and are being carried out by Havering Council.

The roadworks are set for completion on August 24 but the traffic site's notice was labelled with "delays likely".

Several other roads nearby are undergoing roadworks as well, including Havering Road which had works begin yesterday (August 12).

These are set to be finished tomorrow (August 14).

Aveley Road has also been having works done on it since August 11, carried out by Essex & Suffolk Water.

These are expected to be completed by August 18.

Roadworks in Collier Row Lane are scheduled to be finished by tomorrow after commencing a week ago, on August 7.

Victoria Road is also subject to works, beginning today and lasting until August 17.

Delays are also "likely" here.
