Delays are "likely" on a major road running through Hornchurch during 11 days of roadworks this month.
Motorists face disruption on Upper Rainham Road until August 21 due to works being carried out by UK Power Networks.
The works began yesterday (August 10), according to traffic website Causeway one.network.
The live traffic site has confirmed works are ongoing in Upper Rainham Road in a recent notice and labelled it with "delays likely".
UK Power Networks maintains the electricity systems across London, the south east and east of England, according to its website.
There are no specific details at what work is being carried out or why.

Another notice was posted by Causeway one.network on a lower stretch of Upper Rainham Road.
This relates to more works being carried out by UK Power Networks beginning today (August 11) and lasting until Thursday (August 13).
Delays are also "likely" here until completion.
Other planned disruption nearby includes roadworks lasting from 9.30am until 3pm today on Abs Cross Lane and Thames Water Utilities works ongoing on the adjoining Mavis Grove and Station Lane in Hornchurch town centre.
Lasting a month, these works commenced on July 22 and are set to finish on August 21.
Works are also being carried out by Essex & Suffolk Water in Avelon Lane in the south of Hornchurch which began on August 6 and are scheduled to finish tomorrow (August 12).
