Olympic medallist Fatima Whitbread will appear at a Romford shopping centre later this year as part of a flash mob performance.
The former javelin thrower is set to join a dance performance at Romford Shopping Hall on October 3, alongside Romford dance company JAM Performing Arts.
The appearance will be one of the first in a series of events planned across the UK to raise awareness of Fatima's UK Campaign, which is working with charities, schools, stakeholders and decision makers to improve outcomes for young children in care.
Whitbread said: "This campaign is about inspiring and empowering young people, proving that belonging matters, and giving children and young people in care a voice and a stage where they can feel seen, heard and valued."

The flash mobs will take place between 9am and 2pm and feature performances by students from the dance school.
A spokesman for JAM Performing Arts said: "We are proud to be collaborating with Fatima’s UK Campaign to help make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people in care."
The performances aim to start conversations about belonging, raise awareness, and encourage the community to support young people in care.
Whitbread - who spent 14 years in care herself after being abandoned in a north London flat as a baby - previously visited Collier Row in October 2024 to launch her debut children's book My Bright Shining Star.
She delivered two assemblies to pupils at Clockhouse Primary School as part of the launch event, talking about her career and reading sections from the book, which based on Fatima's own experience of the care system.
