The Goodyear Blimp has landed at an airfield in Upminster as part of a rare visit to the UK.
Photos, captured on Sunday (July 5) by Peter Barrett, show the blimp in the sky above Damyns Hall Aerodrome and landed on the grass.
It follows the airship's journey across the English Channel from France on Wednesday (July 1), before it was spotted over central London and Kent.
Operated by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, the blimp is one of only four still in commercial use and is mainly used for advertising and providing aerial views of sporting events.
The semi-rigid Zeppelin NT model was last seen in Upminster during its trip over UK skies in 2022, and landed at Damyns Hall Aerodrome during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
It measures more than 75 metres long, stands nearly 18 metres high, and weighs around 45 to 90kg once inflated with helium - but weighs more than 9,000kg without its lifting gas.
Managers at The Garden Coffee Shop and Diner told the Echo that the Goodyear Blimp is expected to be based at the aerodrome in Upminster until next weekend.
