An Upminster man has admitted child sex offences related to conversations with two young girls.

William Thomas Bottoms, 29, pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two charges of engaging in sexual communication with children.

He also admitted breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) made following a conviction in 2022.

In October last year, Bottoms engaged in sexual communication with two children which included inciting one of them to perform a sex act on themselves.

Bottoms, of Sycamore Avenue, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court last Thursday (May 21) via video link from prison.

During the brief hearing, the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed it would offer no evidence on further charges of causing or incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and another breach of the SHPO.

Bottoms will appear for sentencing in July.
