A Brentwood man has admitted being drunk on a flight, but will face trial accused of assaulting a woman at Gatwick Airport.
Gavin Penn, 48, of Murthering Lane in Navestock, pleaded guilty to being drunk on a Tui flight from Arrecife in Lanzarote on January 8 this year.
But Penn pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of assault by beating.
The assault is alleged to have taken place at the north terminal of Gatwick Airport.
The defendant has been released on unconditional bail.
His trial is scheduled to take place at Brighton Magistrates’ Court in October.
