A pub near the station in Upminster has reopened after an extensive refurbishment.

The Junction, in Station Road, welcomed customers back on Friday (May 15) following a six-figure investment from owner Greene King.

The major refurb has seen improvements to both the inside and outside of the pub, including new décor, and upgraded lighting, signage and furniture.

Benjy Cohen, general manager of The Junction, said it is "great to be open again" and that he is "thrilled to be leading this much-loved pub into its newest chapter".

He said: "Throughout the week, day and night, whether you’re stopping by before or after a train journey or looking for a leisurely drink or meal with friends or family, the Junction is the place to be.

"We love the new look and feel of the pub – we are a traditional pub with lots of modern-day comforts, great food and drinks plus a busy calendar of in-house entertainment including quiz nights and live Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

"There are so many reasons to visit us."

The redesign extends indoors with refreshed lighting, flooring, seating, and upgraded toilet facilities.

The pub has also launched a new food and drinks menu featuring burgers, pub classics, small plates, and sharers.

The drinks menu has also been expanded to include a wide range of cask ales, wine, soft drinks, and cocktails.

The Junction closed on April 13 for the refurbishment, previously thanking customers for their support and promising a "fresh new look" upon reopening.
