A man in his 70s has been left with a "significant" arm injury after being bitten by a dog in Brentwood.

The attack is reported to have taken place at the junction of Sawyers Hall Lane and Highland Avenue at around 7.30am on the morning of April 18.

The dog has been described as large, light brown, and with a flat nose.

Police are appealing to witnesses and those with information or footage of the incident.

The owner of the animal has been described as a woman in her 50s, standing at around 5ft 7ins, with blonde hair tied back in a pony tail.

She is described to have been wearing a long, green trench coat, and is understood to have been accompanied by two large brown/grey 'shaggy' dogs.
