A man in his 40s has died after a crash in South Ockendon.

Police were called to Cruick Avenue shortly after 6pm on April 18, following reports of a crash involving a motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, sadly later died in hospital.

His family are being supported by officers while enquiries continue.

Essex Police are now appealing for any witnesses, or those with doorbell or dashcam footage, to get in touch about this incident.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for any information about a fatal collision in south Ockendon on Saturday 18 April.

"A collision involving a motorcycle, was reported in Cruick Avenue at about 6.10pm.

"Sadly the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40’s died later in hospital.

"His family are being supported by our officers and our enquiries are ongoing.

"We are appealing for any witnesses, doorbell or dashcam footage relating to this incident.

"Please get in touch quoting incident 1139 of Saturday 18 April."
