A historic windmill has announced its forthcoming open weekend as part of a programme of summer events.
Upminster Windmill, a Grade II listed smock mill, will open to visitors on May 9 and 10, in celebration of National Mills Weekend.
Visitors can enjoy tours of the fully restored windmill, explore the visitor centre and garden, and enjoy tea and cake from the refreshment kiosk.

Alison Davis from Upminster Windmill said: "We are pleased to confirm our upcoming Open Weekend at Upminster’s Grade II listed smock mill on May 9 and 10.
"Visitors can choose to tour the fully restored windmill, or explore the visitor centre and award-winning garden whilst enjoying tea and cake from our refreshment kiosk.
"We will be joined by amateur radio operators from Havering Radio Club, and on Saturday 9th May by 'Handsaround' Morris dancers."
Other upcoming events include a food and craft market on June 13 and open days on June 14 and 28.
There will be more open days on July 11 and 12, with a ukelele band playing on July 11.
July 26 will bring a vehicle rally, and open day, with more open days on August 9 and 23.
An event on August 8 is yet to be announced.
The mill will host a heritage weekend on September 12 and 13, aith an open day on September 27 and another open weekend on October 10 and 11.
The season will finish with Spooky Sunday on October 25.
