Romford Greggs assault leads to prison sentence

A man has been jailed for assaulting a member of staff at Greggs in Romford. 

Jordan Kendrick, 26, of Maxwell Road in Romford, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating. 

The first assault was against a male staff member at the chain bakery on October 7 last year. 

The second was against a man at Chelmsford railway station on December 23. 

At Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (April 9) Kendrick was sentenced to eight weeks in prison. 

He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation. 

At the time of his offending Kendrick was the subject of a suspended sentence.
