An update has been issued on the condition of two men who are in hospital after a stabbing in Dagenham.
The incident happened in Ovarl Road North around 2.50pm yesterday (March 21).
Two men were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where their injuries were assessed.
This morning (March 22), a Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed their injuries have been declared neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Superintendent Sharon Brind, responsible for policing in Dagenham, yesterday said: “Our thoughts are with the two individuals injured in this incident, and with their families and friends.
"This will understandably be deeply concerning for the local community.
“I want to reassure residents that the Met remains absolutely committed to tackling knife crime and keeping Londoners safe.
"A proactive investigation is already well underway to identify and locate those responsible.
“Officers will remain in the area to carry out enquiries and provide reassurance.
"If you saw anything or have any information - no matter how small - please come forward and speak to us.”

A London Ambulance Spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.48pm (21 March) to reports of a stabbing in Oval Road North, Dagenham.
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic.
"We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.
“We treated two patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”
