A male has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing at Romford station.

The incident happened at the station in South Street just after 5.30pm yesterday (March 19).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a person injured.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where his condition is unknown.

We have contacted the British Transport Police for further information.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5.32pm yesterday (19 March) to reports of a stabbing at Romford Rail Station, South Street.

“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma by road as a priority.”
