Would-be Wombles can help tidy up Romford town centre next month as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
The national campaign, supported by Romford BID and the Romford Town Wombles, will see a community clean-up in the town centre on March 14.
The event will run from 10am to 12.30pm outside St Edward’s Church in Romford Market Place.
It aims to bring the community together for a "fun, feel-good morning" focused on environmental action and teamwork.

Julie Frost, director of Romford BID, said: "The Great British Spring Clean is a fantastic national campaign that brings communities together to take pride in where they live.
"Here in Romford, we’re proud to support this initiative and encourage everyone to get involved – whether by joining in the clean-up or simply making small changes to keep our town tidy.
"Events like this show what can be achieved when local people, businesses, and organisations come together to make a difference."
After a short briefing, volunteers will be organised into teams to tackle litter picking, graffiti removal, and plant pot maintenance.
All equipment will be provided, and each participant will receive a voucher for a free lunch roll from a market trader as a thank you.
