A ghost hunter from Romford is hoping to return to The Traitors' castle for a "proper investigation" of the spirits there.
Traitors contestant Adam Waughman claimed that he saw a spirit during the filming of series 4 - and now wants organise a ghost hunting trip to the castle in Scotland with his fellow cast members.
A builder by day, Adam says he has seen ghosts since he was six years old and now spends his spare time filming visits to haunted buildings as part of the Paranormal Essex group.
He told the Recorder about how his ghost hunting background helped him to both sense spirits on set and piece together evidence about potential Traitors during the game.
Adam said: "There's a lot of energy in the castle.
"You know, you can feel it.
"The thing with spirits is it comes in layers - you have to investigate it to actually find that and you have to peel back the layers to discover the history.
"I did catch a spirit out of the corner of my eye when I was there.
"It followed me up the stairs and I went to turn round and say thank you to it and it was gone.
"So it needs a proper investigation, that's what I keep saying to everyone.
"Even a lot of the cast members want to come, so we'll see if we can sort it out the summer."
The Traitors is filmed in Ardross Castle, around 30 miles north of Inverness, which is not run as a hotel but is available to hire for weddings or events.
It began construction from around 1847, according to Ross and Cromarty Heritage Society, after the land was sold to Sir Alexander Matheson, an MP and opium trader, for £90,000.
Adam told the Recorder him and the other contestants have a "massive WhatsApp group" where they keep in touch, and that he is "looking forward" to arranging a potential return to the castle.
While his paranormal skills gave him the "patience" to piece together evidence on the Traitors during the game, Adam said he "couldn't wait" to get back to hunting spirits after filming.
The 34-year-old said: "At the end of the day, it's all love, like when I came out of the castle, I was happy.
"I was just like yes let's go ghost hunting, because [filming] deprived me for three weeks.
"Once you're hooked there it's literally the best hobby."
