A GP practice in Rainham has been rated 'good' in all areas after its first inspection.
South Hornchurch Medical Practice, in South End Road, has been awarded a 'good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following a full inspection between October 15 and 27.
All five inspection areas - safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led - were assessed, with the GP surgery earning praise from CQC in every one.
During visits to the premises, inspectors found that the facilities and equipment were "clean, well-maintained and met practice needs", while medicines were stored and recorded safely.

However, according to the CQC report published on November 12, some consultation notes as part of medicine reviews "lacked information".
South Hornchurch Medical Practice agreed to immediately respond to this finding during the assessment, the report says.
Staff were also commended by inspectors for sharing learning, investigating events and raising safety concerns to "help embed best practice".
The report said: "Staff ensured care and treatment was evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
"They worked collaboratively across agencies to support positive outcomes and smooth transitions of patients between services.
"Staff ensured people understood their care and treatment, enabling informed consent."
Part of the assessment also looked at patients' experience of the service - with more than 6,000 patients registered with the GP surgery.
Responses to the 2025 National GP Patient Survey were found to be above both local and national averages for all areas of care, treatment and access.

This included 93 per cent of patients who stated that their needs were met and 82pc who reported a very or fairly good overall experience.
CQC received positive comments from patients about the quality of their care and treatment as well, while inspectors also spoke with the patient participation group, who said that staff follow up on anything they raise.
This is the first inspection South Hornchurch Medical Practice has had since it registered with CQC in July 2021.
The practice replaced Mungo Park Surgery, which shut in March 2020, and Spring Farm Surgery, which relocated from its previous site in Upminster Road North the following year.
