Residents are invited to gather at Remembrance services across Havering to pay their respects this year.
A series of parades and services will be held throughout the borough on Sunday, November 9 to commemorate the occasion.
Councillor Sue Ospreay, Mayor of Havering, said: "We welcome everyone to come together and mark Remembrance Sunday once again in Havering.
"It gives the borough a chance to remember our servicemen and servicewomen from Britain and the Commonwealth, who gave so much in order to keep us safe.
"This year has seen the historic 80th anniversary of both VE Day and VJ Day, where our great nation celebrated 80 years of peace since the end of World War Two —a peace that so many millions paid the ultimate sacrifice to achieve.
"We are proud to stand as a community to mark Remembrance Sunday each November, which highlights the continued bravery and sacrifices of our Armed Forces."
