Pictures show a car that became a fireball on the side of a major road in Shadwell.
The fire service was called out around 7.45pm on Saturday (September 27) to the blaze on The Highway.
A fire engine from Shadwell Fire Station arrived and dealt with the flames, where there were luckily no injuries.
Passersby filmed the bright orange inferno as they drove by, with some remarking on the heat they could feel.

The cause of the fire was not provided the the London Fire Brigade.
A LFB spokesperson said: “We were called at 1942 hrs on Saturday (27 September) to reports of a car alight on The Highway, E1.
“One fire engine from Shadwell Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.”
