A man is in hospital after being stabbed near a busy train station in Upton Park.

Police were called just before 8pm yesterday (September 26) to Harold Road.

Officers arrived with paramedics who treated a man in his 20s for stab wounds.

He was then taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed to be neither life-threatening nor changing.

There have been no arrests but a police investigation into is underway with a public appeal for information.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At around 19:55hrs on Friday, 26 September police responded to reports of a stabbing in Harold Road, E13.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated a man in his 20s for stab wounds.

“He was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed not life-threatening or life-changing.

“No arrests have been made at this early stage and investigations are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or online, quoting CAD7194/26SEP.”

London Ambulance Service was contacted for comment.
