The shop has a 4.8 out of five average rating from 163 Google reviews.
One satisfied customer recently wrote: "Best fish and chips I have had since I moved to London!
"The staff are so friendly and chatty - they offer you a handful of chips to nibble on while you wait for your food to be cooked."
Several other reviewers labelled Lighthouse their "favourite" chippy.

Only a week ago, someone left a seven-paragraph review singing the praises of Rainham Fish Bar.
They wrote: "Decent traditional chippies are getting harder to find these days, but this one absolutely nails it.
"The food is outstanding, and the portion sizes are very generous. Easily some of the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time.

A customer who left a five star rating wrote: "I must say it's definitely one of the best, if not the best, fish and chip shop in Hornchurch".
Another reviewer said it was "by far the best fish and chips I have ever had".
Wonder Fish and Kebab, Hornchurch

With 89 reviews, it has the lowest number of published opinions from the three 4.7-rated shops.
A week ago, one happy customer claimed it to be "definitely the best out there".
Another reviewer noted "everything is cooked fresh, so you could wait a little but it’s worth it".
Burlington's Fish and Grill, Romford
Burlington's Fish and Grill (Image: Google) Havering has several fish and chip shops with a Google rating of 4.6, but with 256 reviews, Burlington's Fish and Grill in Main Road has the most.
This family run establishment has a sit-in restaurant as well as a takeaway counter.
One customer wrote: "You have the family-friendly Friday night fish and chip shop mixed with a lovely, upbeat, well-decorated restaurant with an absolutely unreal selection".
Another said: "Amazing fish and chips - really authentic and cooked fresh on-site."
